Groupwise v8.0 (at this moment still in Public Beta) is the newest successor bringing many exiting enhancements to this powerful workgroup suite.

For those wanting to test the new Groupwise client on openSUSE here's how to get the packages installed.
NOTE: You will need the server back end to run the 8.0 version to be able to connect!
1) First install the openmotif package (as this the contains required libXm.so.4):
update: libstdc++33 is also needed but usually already installed if you have added multimedia support to openSUSE.
Use YaST's Software Management *or* open a console:
su - (elevates to root)
zypper install openmotif libstdc++33
2) The Groupwise client is written for SLED and will be looking for libXm.so.3.
To overcome this make a symbolic link for libXm.so.3 pointing to the installed libXm.so.4:
cd /usr/lib
ln -s libXm.so.4 libXm.so.3
3) Install the Groupwise rpm's with the no dependency check switch. To do this copy the novell-groupwise-gw* rpms to a local folder (or download and unzip the client install packages from http://www.novell.com/downloads)
cd into the directory holding the rpms and install:
rpm -Uhv novell-groupwise-gwc* --nodeps
You should now have your Groupwise Icon on the desktop.
As far as I have tested most actions work normally.
One thing that does not work as expected is when dragging a mouse selection over the calender. This does not select a time slot to set for a posted appointment.
Other than that I have found no real issues but would also like to hear from you.
Do note that I am using GNOME as my DE and have Java 1.5 & 1.6 packages installed.
Happy Groupwising!
